Fünf Streifzüge in die Welt der Zeichen und Schriften des öffentlichen Raums.
In earlier days, schools were places where the use of power was firmly in place. It is particularly remarkable that in Innsbruck and Tyrol, many elementary schools are adorned with “Fraktur” lettering. Perhaps this was once intended to give the children their first contact with history and German writing. Thus, the widespread misconception lives on that fractured typefaces are a typically German invention.
